A guy came on at 10 am and kind of talked about what was going on with the station. Not sure who he was. But he pretty much said people have been hired and tell us what you like and don't like so far. I think they are just playing everything right now. The imaging and logo hints it will be harder classic. Half of these songs will be gone when they tighten up.
You are delusional if you believed that. No one has been hired. Tell them what you like? LOL. Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling like you really matter to them? The music has already been shifting, to Alternative Gold. They are building out their audience NOW! They hit the ground running like Jams did. Their main competition is WDRV and WKQX. WKQX has already reacted to 95.5 coming on the air. So will the Drive next, watch for tweaked playlist and more advertising. Stations flip format to KNOCK DOWN competition, Day #1. Will it evolve, sure, after a year like Jams did. What you hear is your new Rock station Polecat.
Yeah the Goo Goo Dolls that cater to the advertising rich female demo will give way to some obscure hard rock band that you and I might like but chases advertisers away. You post this as your wet dream as I am posting from an industry standpoint and experience. Flame away pal.
