They will burn the music hard at first. Do not expect the music to expand much on the hard rock. It will be Alt Gold mixed in with enough hard rock to have people listen. Their main competition is WDRV & WKQX. The hard rock people have nowhere to go. Also 95.1 is not an option as over 1/2 the market can't hear it.
Man of their hard rock offerings are classic rock staples that are already beyond the 54+ range. Journey, AC/DC, Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd are a few titles that come to mind. The 90s Alt Gold is the current 25 - 54 target. The hard rock during that time period was minimal at best. When you had bands like Def Leppard releasing Alternative material(embarrassing), it was evident. After Alt died down, you seen Hard Rock re-emerge in its new style, a lot of it hybrid or laced with Alternative style. If this format lasts long enough lets see if we will see those bands emerge.
Has anyone heard Rammstein yet? (seriously, I do not listen to the station enough to know).
