Not really. Classic rock shares with Classic Hits and even other outlets.
What we have here, WDRV spent money to advertise shamelessly during a pandemic then fire people afterward. TV and lesser degree billboards are always a boom to radio and it works as people have the attention span of a gnat. Look at WBEZ even before the pandemic, the TV ads boosted them up where they have never been before.
Epic business move for Hubbard. No regard for humans or hired help.
