You have 1 station you are screwed. You have 2 stations you are still screwed as you can only cross sell ads to 2 stations when the others can cross sell to 5 of their stations.
It also comes to "when they change the station", where do they go? You have 5 stations and you program them the right way, chances are the person will punch one of your other stations. You have 1 station, you lose them. You have 2 stations, chances are less they will end up on your other stations as opposed to the 5 of your competitor!
The market leader can tell advertisers and command more revenue leading into profit, by saying, we are the market leader in the last X years. You want to be on our outlets for maximum return of investment.
