Entercom has always been a cheap company but buying up CBS has turned all those stations downward in every way possible.
While DeCastro did not bring Jams on air (this comes from way higher up and consultants), I am impressed with 104.3 as it has been able to evolve and sustain, but it is such a pain to listen to musically and presentation. If they are proud of 104.3, along with a bad CHR period, they have pulled B96 teeth out as a heritage station.
The few winners of this dumpster fire is Cumulus and 94.7 WLS-FM. When KHITS went off WLS-FM got a lifeline. The other KISS-FM.
The main losers? Entercom listeners and shareholders. Lets see if their Bankruptcy will be as sweet as Cumulus end result was.
