Joe Gentile was a car dealer. He had his own morning show, some Standards music and a lot of brokered Ethnic and Talk by the time he sold it. He also ran some Conservative Talk in spots in the early 2000s.
Thereís only so much you can do with stations like this, even with a translator.
Not limited to AM either. Even suburban Class A FMís. 94.3 WJKL in itís Elgin days for example was almost all Brokered Talk and Sports (One On One) by 1998-1999 when the Radio Shopping Show was not on. Music was dropped almost entirely. It picked up much of WCBRís Brokered Talk Programming when WCBR was sold to Big City Radio in August Ď98. They then leased most hours to One on One Sports when they lost the 950 signal. Eventually Rick leased the entire station to EMF and sold it to them about 6 years later.
