I can assure all of you, this new clock is the result of another PPM (People Meter ratings device study). Pre-PPM, I seen enough music and other listener studies/testings, where the PD and those involved would say or do whatever it took to "align" the research to what they wanted to do, aka, "stroke each other to make us believe that is true". But when it comes to PPM, corporate treats it like a religious bible if it will mean more revenue and increased TSL.
The 50K to 35K drop, also involved the site move to a different location and also diplexing the signal. Diplexing is feeding two or more transmitters into a single tower. If you are local you will notice the HD carrier has been off too. Honestly, they can care less because they have the signal on 105.9FM. The ultimate reason they moved to another site, the site it was on was worth so much money they sold it to make a profit. You will see this more and more with AM signals.
Ad scheduling, they can care less anymore. You will hear 1million car ads in a row. As long as they sell ads and make revenue, they don't care.
This industry has become such a cheap street corner prostitute, it will get worse with time.
