If being 'on the bird' is a sign of weakness, then 560, 890, 670, 1590, and 1000 are all in the same boat with 1530. Where is your complaint about them?
Why would 1530 spend money to expand their am and fm signals now? You obviously have no clue about what is happening with the FCC and their current plans for bandwidth changes.
Where is your grievance with 670 and 1000 for not putting their sports on fm? Or 560, 890, 780 and 720 for not putting their talk on fm?
How about billionaire Fred with 820? He's taken his precious pet project of progressive talk and moved it off fm in favor of making money. And he is passionate about his 'product'!
But you think the answer for a stand alone operator on the fringe of market 3 is to bleed money to appease you?
I've seen every facility mentioned above, and many more. You have no idea who's putting money where. Stop in 1590 when you get a chance. Then stop in at 1080, 640 and the am stations Fred owns.
If you did, you would not be posting the nonsense you are posting.
Alpha media is moving into a shopping mall for crying out loud. If you think that is an innovative move in 2019 do some reading about the struggle happening with malls. They are dying faster than radio stations.
If you want to fault the folks behind 1530 with anything - fault them for buying a radio station.
