AT40 for example always came with the barter ads on the vinyl records and CDs at the end of each segment. Westwood One networks (Heard on stations like WSPY and WCSJ) run about 60 seconds of barter ads each break, usually the first ads you hear.
Because WBEZ is local (not national) itís more than likely an ad agency buy. The ad agency buys time on multiple stations and delivers the ads to the stations that are affiliated (At least I think that is how it works)
