Nothing wrong with Scott, he ran a top notch station there. It’s Alpha Media. They bought way too many stations in the last few years, spent way too much money and now they’re making cuts and selling clusters. Peoria for example was just sold to Midwest Communications (A successful company that voice tracks everything and only does certain formats)
Locally, it seems like they’re just canning people to save money. Haynes Johns was let go from WXLC late last year. Both Haynes and Scott arrived at each station (WXLC, WSSR) after WNND folded in November ‘04. Both of those stations sounded great as a result. 15 years and 3 owners is quite telling. It’s a shame they’re letting go of their best people.
