WGN is able to remain live and local around the clock because it has been notorious for not paying well, even back in the glory days of Bob Collins.
It costs roughly 250,000 per year to keep the weekend shows going, and thatís before play by play, which is a strict revenue share.
It has a future, and a good broadcaster could see it through. Cumulus is not that company.
