Re: Are Timber Frame Garages Worth the Investment?
|
My grandparents did something very similar several years ago when they expanded their property. They wanted a garage that looked like it had always belonged there instead of standing out from the rest of the buildings. They eventually settled on a timber frame design, and it still gets compliments from visitors today. What impressed me the most wasn't just the appearance but how practical it became. Besides parking the car, they use part of the space for gardening equipment and another corner as a small woodworking area. They also spent a little extra on better lighting and ventilation, which made a noticeable difference once they started using it regularly. If I ever build a detached garage of my own, I'd probably choose the same style because it has aged really well and still looks just as attractive as when it was first built.
