I’m here because my dad was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer, and we’re trying to figure out what the best treatment options are for him. It’s been a really tough few weeks — a lot of fear, a lot of waiting, and a lot of trying to make decisions when everything feels confusing. We’ve started looking into treatment abroad, especially in Germany, since their oncology and urology departments are known to be very advanced.

I know it’s listed under breast cancer, but from what I understand, many of these clinics also have strong urology and bladder cancer departments because they’re large multidisciplinary centers. It made me feel a bit more hopeful seeing how many well-equipped hospitals there are and how experienced the doctors seem to be.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience getting bladder cancer treatment in Germany. Was the care as good as people say? Did the hospitals feel supportive and well-organized? And how did you handle things like travel, communication, and follow-up afterward?
We’re trying to stay hopeful but also very realistic. Any personal experience or advice would really help us right now.
