Here's a picture I took at the cat shelter this past week, of a cat named Bandit "splooting." At least that's what it's called when a cat, or other animal for that matter, splays out on the floor or ground like Bandit is doing in this picture. LOL. And just a note about Bandit, who I've posted about in the past (pics/videos). He came to the shelter as a scared kitten, ears all flattened out all the time, afraid of everything and everyone. I have worked with him from the beginning, trying to pet him and play with him, but it took many weeks just to get him to start playing with string. I eventually brought a chicken paste cat treat with me and got him to eat that off my finger. I've been doing that ever since, and he loves it. Will even climb on me to get to it! But to this day he still pulls away when I or anyone tries to pet him, and he is now full grown (and then some, looking at that wide belly!), so I'm wondering if he will ever change, but if not, no one will ever want to adopt him, and I think he will spend the rest of his life living at the shelter.
