Not to worry, too much, Joe. That one area at the back of the shelter is just a screened in "catio." There is no glass. It's just open air screening like you'd have on a patio, with a heavy wire mesh inside of that to keep any critters that are outside from getting inside. And it's possible they herded all the cats indoors and closed that section off by closing the access doors.
