I love that too despite how shaggy some of those BSV guys are. It is clear that most of them are used to the barbershop routine. They all accept their fate in their stride. Can anyone point out a BSV video where the guy is clearly upset about how short his hair is cut?

Interesting posted reply Linus, but why would guys be upset at getting a haircut, unless they wish to not be filmed and shown around the world on YouTube the next 30 years! lol
And what did you mean by the men all accepted their fate?? Sounds so fatalistic, its just a haircut!! lol
Who knew back in the 1990s (when these haircuts were filmed and men were jacking off watching the videos in vcr machines) they would be posted on YouTube with another generation of haircut fetishers viewing them! lol
I also read your comments Will, and funny you would bring up the issue of men in the barber chair who "instinctively lifting his head up to get the neck strip", got an example of what you mean?
The only thing close of instinctive reactions of men in the barber chair is when they bend their head downward when the clippers are around the back of the head and neck area. I guess they assume it helps the clippers get as close as possible? Never knew the reason but I experienced that as well when I was a kid getting real close tight haircuts, I bent my head downward or had the barber gently push my head down as the clippers skinned me good in the back.
Good example of a guy "instinctively" putting his head downward for the clippers is in this 2020 flattop video from MC Barbershop in Connecticut.

Take notice of the flattop guy bending his head downward at video time 20:22 only to learn the barber never ran the clippers up his head, he only thought that was to happen when the barber moved around the chair with clippers running! It was funny to see that guy bend his head downward.
I wish he got his flattop even tighter as he has nice hair for a good horseshoe flattop. Thoughts?
As a kid I hated that part of the skin tight fade haircuts we had to get and also when the barber pushed down our ears to clip around them, only to have the barber let them spring back, not gently push the ear back up. Man, I knew I was really getting a severe clipper skinned around the ears and neck haircut by the amount of time and the use of a several clippers to finish the haircut. Any have memories as this from childhood haircuts?
But not really had issue of having my head up during the placement of the barber neck strip or experiencing my fate in stride. But I had my share of childhood super skin tight fade haircuts.

Therefore, you post it, whatever it may be, you’re responsible for it. Enough said.

This is designed for male haircutting, and males should be the subject of the haircut. Females should not be the subject of the haircut in posts, photos, and discussions, however, females are free to join and discuss our common interests.
No sexual posts allowed. No political posts allowed.
In terms of common sense, do not post replies to such videos or photos saying things like “sexy handsome man without hair” or “better ####ing shave it next time” or any other suggestive or inappropriate comments. This only does many things. It makes the user remove the video due to being “creeped out” by said comments, look to see where the user found their video (and can see terms searched, such as headshaving, male haircut, and even links from this board). It only brings out a negative view of our community and makes us more noticeable, rather than keeping it quiet. Keeping it quiet is best, it allows us to continue sharing content without people starting to think “will I get creepy people send me stuff”. To sum it up, don’t be a creep on other people’s videos. Saying you look good such as “nice haircut” is acceptable; saying “you look sexy handsome with that new haircut :-*” is unacceptable. I cannot control what you post on other websites, but please keep your true comments to yourself, or as we often see, “This video has been removed by the user” will pop up. Please use proper judgment to keep the videos posted public for all to see and enjoy.
In addition, please try to do your best to provide reference to what content is being presented. The internet is wide, I understand that. But if you are going to post a YouTube link, write a quick thing next to the link (moptop shorn) or reference where you got an image from (i.e., post a link and the image) so we can see it easier if there is problem. Only goes to help us out more!
Be civil on the board. We’re all grown mature (hopefully) men. Let’s keep it mature and civil on here.
Be smart about what you post! If you use proper judgment, it will generally be fine. Just consider these rules before posting.
