Hi there, Buzzhead! Thanks for your response. Sounds like you have been around these sites as well. I neglected to mention Gunny's Quarters in my original post. Gunny was a hero to me in those years, a mythical figure, and also a feared person. He didn't put up with any s**t!!! For so many years, I would have been scared to meet up with any one, I was too young to travel, and so I lurked. I never reached out to those guys then because I didn't want to be a "tease" and just aggravate them. I was also scared to get my hair cut for fear of first, pissing my mother off, and second, being ostracized, and third, being suspected for having some "interest" in it. For instance, getting a flattop in 1999 and having someone say "why in the world would he get THAT haircut unless there is something weird about it." I wore a business taper for years. It went varying degrees of shortness, all the way up to a "high reg" as it used to be known with the sides shaved high and enough left on top to comb. I shaved my head once. I have had multiple HnTs. I let it grown longer when I was resisting my urges. But, the holy grail of haircuts for me was always the flattop. Only once or twice did I get a flattop. But, the last 5 years, I have kept a flat top and I love it. I wish I had worn it all my life. Both for the feel of the cut and the experience of getting it. I dont think it looks the best on me, but the feel and the experience outweigh that for me.  Previous Message
What a great story. Thanks for sharing. I am surprised you have been a lurker for so long. The Buzztown barberhop was a great site. It was always one of my favorites along with Gunny’s Quarters. I got a lot of encouragement from Gunny’s site to get every type of short haircut. Regulation haircuts, HnTs. Flattops, skin fades, a tear drop, horseshoe flats, recons, burrs, shaved hears. I change my cut pretty much ever six months, but I have had a shaved head for many years.
You have been to so many shops, I’m curious to know what cuts do you wear?

No sexual posts allowed. No political posts allowed.
In terms of common sense, do not post replies to such videos or photos saying things like “sexy handsome man without hair” or “better ####ing shave it next time” or any other suggestive or inappropriate comments. This only does many things. It makes the user remove the video due to being “creeped out” by said comments, look to see where the user found their video (and can see terms searched, such as headshaving, male haircut, and even links from this board). It only brings out a negative view of our community and makes us more noticeable, rather than keeping it quiet. Keeping it quiet is best, it allows us to continue sharing content without people starting to think “will I get creepy people send me stuff”. To sum it up, don’t be a creep on other people’s videos. Saying you look good such as “nice haircut” is acceptable; saying “you look sexy handsome with that new haircut :-*” is unacceptable. I cannot control what you post on other websites, but please keep your true comments to yourself, or as we often see, “This video has been removed by the user” will pop up. Please use proper judgment to keep the videos posted public for all to see and enjoy.
In addition, please try to do your best to provide reference to what content is being presented. The internet is wide, I understand that. But if you are going to post a YouTube link, write a quick thing next to the link (moptop shorn) or reference where you got an image from (i.e., post a link and the image) so we can see it easier if there is problem. Only goes to help us out more!
Be civil on the board. We’re all grown mature (hopefully) men. Let’s keep it mature and civil on here.
Be smart about what you post! If you use proper judgment, it will generally be fine. Just consider these rules before posting.
