As like with the other guys, kind of a long post here, as this topic brought back memories of 30-35 years ago (and then more recently in 2012--2015).
First, I must say that upon viewing those website links and video of television personality Chip Gaines, his head shave was both unexpected and totally hot to see. That bare whitewall shaven head is what makes summer head shaving enjoyable to see. Man it was awesome to see his shaven white head from all of that long hair removed. Who wants to live with all of that hair on your head anyway? I don't mean all boys and men should be buzz or high and tight gents, but that hair Chip had was a mess. lol
I am not sure if a pale white scalp was enjoyable to have for him, as Chip just laughed it all off. In retrospect of last week when it happened, I wonder upon closer inspection and living with a total bare pale white head if Chip now likes the look and the whitewall appearance too, but the decision was good as it was part of charity I believe.
I know all to well of post-haircut whitewall appearances.
Kind of hard to believe that in the late 1970s and into the 1980s I had to wear a whitewall shaven high and tight. No way around it, as dad had the barber clipper buzz my longer school-year lengthy hair down to a Marine high and tight. And no, dad was not connected with the military or law enforcement types at all, he just wanted me to have short haircuts especially for the hot summer months and even when older when I had summer farm field work as a teenager. I went to a farmer ten miles away that our family knew who hired about five or six high school boys as summer labor (I was the only buzzcut or high and tight one among us). The high and tights sure felt great but had to occasionally wear baseball caps to fend off the hotter days when outside working with an almost bald head.
It was after leaving the barber shop with a high and tight that was almost a recon that I saw my removed hair turn into whitewall exposed skin. I looked goofy. Maybe it would've been better if it was all tanned, which I never got as I was not an outdoor get a tan person--even if it would help me look better with a high and tight.
As an admitted but still closeted fetisher, it was a high and tight even if then I had no clue what it was called other than "my summer haircut" which dad and mom made me get when dad took me to the barber. My dad never cut my hair, he let the barber take control of my head (inside and out). lol I still feel it was my dad and my childhood/teenage years barber who made me evolve with this intense high and tight and whitewall haircut fetish.
Unlike the other guys here with this message thread on whitewalls, I have no videos or pictures to post with my message, surely not of myself, but I was one of a very very very few boys my age back then that had to get a high and tight that I ever remember.
I did see one high and tight boy when we were on vacation to Busch Gardens in Florida when I was in Junior High. It was rare. He was far away but I was still able to see that he had a high and tight, probably super close clippered not razor shaved which I often had to get (which seemingly was an impulse by my dad, as there was nothing happening or different from the times I got regular super close high and tights opposed to when he had me get a "high and tight shine" (shaved).
When I graduated high school in 1992, I was still the only high and tight boy in my area. Tonight when looking at my junior and senior yearbooks just now before posting here tonight, I was the only boy with a high and tight. Two junior boys when I was a senior are shown with buzzcuts, which were about a clipper guard three or four, but the hair still kind of stood upwards to form a crewcut. A few had crazy spiked type haircuts.
While in grade school, I recall that we did have a boy who moved to the area from North Carolina who got summer buzzcuts, but now when I am older and "into haircuts" his were clipper 2 buzzcuts, but enough to see skin and whitewall around the ears and neckline when I saw him a week or two into the summer vacation. I remember North Carolina because of his accent. Oddly, his pictures in the yearbook show him with classic parted hair but hair off the ears. Handsome kid. I may want to check Facebook to learn where he is now days! lol
He kind of liked my "mohawk" as he called it, but it was not a mohawk. It was all-way bald on the sides and back, actually shaved by the barber very high and tight. It was almost recon when the barber really took "high" in the high and tight literally, but it was never really a recon which I now know about. I can still feel those most close cutting clipper run up to the top area all around my head. Then the actual razor scraping too to remove that sandpaper high and tight hair stubble. Funny how I can still feel that in my head, and how I felt hopeless.
I did, however, tonight, check for my barber, who is now 88 and he is featured photos on his son's Facebook page which make him look to be in his 50s. He looks the game, but with gray hair, of how I knew him as my barber who sure knew how to give brutal high and tight haircuts, and did not care to ask how I felt about it. He just skinned me while chatting with my dad.
If I could speak with this barber, I doubt I would tell him how miserable I felt being shaved or clippered high and tight by his loud and harsh clippers, and him making fun of my ears and looking like a "rascal" as my dad laughed. The "we lowered his ears" joke got old as other men in the shop laughed at me and watched me leave the barbershop looking as if I was ready for a Marine Corps base.
But I would tell him that my favorite memory was getting Tootsie rolls when leaving with my fresh high and tights, and the five dollar bills he gave all kids who came around Christmas time for haircuts. Five dollars would kind of be like giving boys twenty dollars bills now days.
The only variance during my impressionable and nervous adolescence was that there were occasional just periodically clipper close cut high and tight haircuts, while most of the time my high and tight was shaved clean and very high per dad's orders as he just sat and watched me lose all of my hair and get shaved high and tight while engroused with chatting with the barber. Both the barber and my dad wore a business length haircuts.
When immediately seated in the big pump-up ruby-red barber chair (I can still remember it and how it felt to sit in that chair as a child and teenage boy scare of haircuts, always facing my dad during all of my haircuts), the barber would ask "How will it be?" (as if he really need to ask that, seven times per summer for haircuts on average!!) and my dad would say "the usual and make it shine" (in reference to the visible smooth glossy shaved high and tight appearance afterwards, vs the regular clipper super close high and tight).
Honestly the high and tight was so addictive to feel and rub even before going to bed at night, especially when I got the razor shaved high and tights all summer (which was about 70 percent to the 30 percent of clipper close high and tights). I should note, dad kept me in a modest skin fade haircut all during the school year, but it was not too severe. The hair, which grew fast, was always off the ears, out of my eyes and I kept my hair clean and combed per mom's strict orders, but not really severe at all.
So I would have to sit and experience both ways when I got he shaved high and tights---the initial calipering of the bulk of hair and another clipper to take even extra close which kind of felt nice as it made me feel that I really getting my head shaved, and, well was!, and then the requested shave ending.
The high and tight shaves were upwards (or, against the grain?) on the sides and back. But either way, my head was high and tight whitewalls, which I could clearly see in the barbershop mirror, and when I would sneak a look in the shop's bathroom mirror while dad was occupied with chatting with the barber.
Little did dad know then that I was getting turned on by my compulsory high and tight haircuts---either shaved or the regular clipper close version. Then the times when the high and tight got shaved smooth to be "shiny" when seen outside (which where or how dad got the "shiny high and tight" reference or nickname. But I didn't like the whitewall look after my summer haircuts as it made me stand out tenfold more than anything. lol
Not much more to add, but interesting question. Summer is surely the time to see whitewalls. It does make me wonder do guys come into wanting a real close haircut knowing the results would mean whitewalls (or a shaved bald white pale head if they were brave bald-by-choice guys), or they just notice and deal with the pale appearance afterwards. I don't thin it prevents guys from getting short haircuts nor did any barber warn patrons of an impending whitewall conclusion while the clipped or shaved guy was in the chair.
What? No other guys posting on this haircut forum board who experienced whitewall haircuts or bald shaven heads?
By the way, years later (around 2000 or 2001) when I "discovered" the internet haircut websites and message boards---and figured out the reasons for my fetish, I eventually did decide to go total high and tight (for old time sake, lol) in summer for four years (2012--2015) when I took it all off and got aroused by my own intentional whitewall high and tight appearance, which coincided with four consecutive summers of avid bike riding and racing. It was kind of nice to have a short military haircut while wearing a tight bike helmet and afterwards too when out walking around town. I got high and tight like never before--well, since dad made me get that summer style. It brought me back to my childhood high and tight days, and it feel so good to feel and massage even, again when going to bed.
I got home from the barber that summer in 2012, with my first high and tight (shaved that time, others were 00000 clipper skinned). I was nervous to do it but the urge to try a shaved high and tight as an adult, all those years later, kept gnawing me, so I called for the best high and tight barber, and I lose six inches of hair and it felt odd all over again. An hour later upon return to my apartment bathroom, I looked at myself in the mirror---whitewalls, exposed erect ears and all---and actually cried. I was back to the boy with a shaved high and tight.
I did the high and tight for five summers, mostly because I had always wanted to do it again but also because of hot summer bike riding, which I barely do these days. Getting lazy. lol I am back to a longer business cut with no idea if I'd ever do a high and tight again while I am still lucky to have a good full head of hair. I'd entertain ideas and thoughts by you readers, and if my "life story about child haircuts and whitewalls" was what you also experienced and why you think it is attractive and even addictive to see or wear.

In terms of common sense, do not post replies to such videos or photos saying things like “sexy handsome man without hair” or “better ####ing shave it next time” or any other suggestive or inappropriate comments. This only does many things. It makes the user remove the video due to being “creeped out” by said comments, look to see where the user found their video (and can see terms searched, such as headshaving, male haircut, and even links from this board). It only brings out a negative view of our community and makes us more noticeable, rather than keeping it quiet. Keeping it quiet is best, it allows us to continue sharing content without people starting to think “will I get creepy people send me stuff”. To sum it up, don’t be a creep on other people’s videos. Saying you look good such as “nice haircut” is acceptable; saying “you look sexy handsome with that new haircut :-*” is unacceptable.
