This is the newly published (by Fonthill) English edition of the late Ana De Sagrera's 2006 book about the lives and friendship of Queen Ena and Infanta Beatriz. It is edited by John Van Der Kiste, translated by Iain Dorward Stewart and has collaboration from Sue Woolmans and Ricardo Mateos Sainz De Medrano.
It is a magnificent double biography of two lives closely intertwined. It is well researched and well written with lots of interesting illustrations.
It is a rare royal biography in that it is quite a compelling read. It is a very welcome addition to my book collection.
I hope Fonthill will consider translating other foreign books on royalty.
