King describes the photo session of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee official photograph in great details, stating it took place "in the early summer of 1897". The photograph used for the Jubilee was in fact taken three years earlier, for the wedding of King George V and Queen Mary.
Later in the book, he confuses Princess Victoria of Prussia (who wanted to wed Prince Alexander of Battenberg) and her sister Margaret.
I have to say I've stopped reading the book. I thought Greg King was a respected royal author. It is so frustrating when authors cannot take the time to perform simple fact checking of their manuscripts. These might be small errors, but it does make one question the accuracy of the rest of the content.
