My banjo weighs about 10 # , is considered a beginner banjo but not Deering least expensive and it arrived at the end of April. And I am over 21 for sure. I can send you a list of books that I own, I think I have over 20. Most of them have arranged in he songs for the what seems like the highest number of Slds., PO and HO without considering the ways that it effects your ability to recognize what your playing. And some of them are down right confusing too. Most of my Mel Bay books seem worthless at this moment, poor and possibly intentionally misleading arrangements, directions to repeat previous lessons in combination with the new assignment when it actually isn’t possible to do so the way they’ve asked, and songs in a variety of Keys when I’m far more interested in playing in the Key my Banjo was built to play, G, than learning how to adjust my tuning for each so song or even throughout the song like Bela Flick. My best, Randi Rene’e
