Didn't George explain who Buddy was?

I FB corresponded with him too, a couple of years ago, prior to his "Almost A" Trio with Josh and Tom. He seemed to have a pretty big ego, you know, because he owned a Rickenbaker 12 string like McGuinn's and a Bob Shane issue Martin D28...and how many guy's can afford that, and not be remembered by anyone?
