Agreed, in fact to take it a step further..a whole lot of sheet music was less than accurate to a particular artist doing the song. Often the music publisher would hire a pro arranger to jot down the sheet music and of course the feel may be quite different from any recordings we've heard. HOWEVER...If you have the time and actually feel it's important...transpose that S&S sheet music from the key of Eb to the key of "C" and play along with the ORIGINAL recording and your chords will be spot on. The original question was about the nameless writer who actually wrote the song and in my humble opinion, that Eb sheet music was very likely what came from the piano player on the Seaver's honeymoon. You'll note some subtle changes in any versions recorded after the original. Still the greates song ever !
