Yes, 'twas quite an adventure. And Meri was not on board - she was here at home enjoying my absence. The crew consisted of Rick McGee (owner and captain of "Glory"), Leszek Kotzian (an experienced sailor from Poland that Rick enlisted thru a website where people can post their qualifications and availability to crew or pilot boats for people), and myself, serving as lowly cabin boy and entertainer.
When I had the hint of a voice I would regale the rest of the crew with sea chanties, Jimmy Buffet tunes, KT classics and the number one request by Capt. Rick: "Southern Cross", the C,S & N version. Trouble was, I could never get the other guys to imitate Crosby and Nash, so there were some holes in the arrangement.
Nice to be home. Now I need to find time to finish the other 10 songs I started writing while at sea.
