Which reminds me of another show we did at a college in the midwest somewhere. (Why deaf people would go to a music concert is beyond me, but...) The school had arranged for a signer to go on stage with us to interpret our songs and stage banter in sign language for the hearing impaired audience members. She had obviously reviewed our set list and listened to the records before the show so she could be somewhat familiar with the lyrics. But we had a great time twisting the lyrics to some of the songs just to try and mess her up. She kept up with us pretty well, though, and I was pretty amazed that her translations of our jokes actually worked.
