There are some well-know brothers acts (The Brothers Four were frat brothers, by the way) that hated each other on and off stage. Tom and Dick Smothers went thru periods of mutual disdain, but they turned that into a comedy bit. When we worked with them they seemed to get along pretty well, but they didn't hang out much together off stage.
One of the most famous "hate thy brother" groups was the Everly Brothers. I've told this story before about being kicked out of our dressing room so Don and Phil could have separate dressing rooms.
The there was The BeeGees, another famous brother act that hated each other. Once when The Brothers Four were on tour in Japan, the BeeGees happened to be touring at the same time. One morning I went down to breakfast in the restaurant at the Tokyo Hilton and Barry, Robin and Maurice were all there having breakfast too. But they were seating as far away from each other as possible all around the room and they were yelling at each other. Just carrying on an extremely heated argument at the top of their lungs across this luckily mostly vacant restaurant with no care as to who was eavesdropping. I wish I'd had a recorder with me - probably coulda sold that recording on e-bay!
