They have been around a while with everchanging personel. Merrilee, a recent addition, lost some weight and looks great. The keyboard player must be great since he followed Augie Myers and Nicky Hopkins. The drummer appears to be the dominant male vovalist and he's good.
I posted an earlier video when the group included the original lead guitarist of the Standells.
Bob, the biggest obstacle in a coalition like this is dealing with the egos. Having worked with Bob Shane ( and Bill Zorn for a short period) I can only imagine that you have aquired considerable expertise. The money is always a headache.
Outside of Merrilee, these guys are basically aftermarket parts. They may be outstanding musicans and singers but they aren't the originals the fans expect. I remember a thread we had about truth in advertising condidering Diana Ross taking a couple of 70's Supremes out instead of Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong. The tour bombed. BUT, all that being said, this might be a lot of fun, I'm not sure of the finacial situation, but these guys (and gal) have been there and are pros.
A couple of my aquaintances ( I interveiwed on my radio show in the 80's) Jerry Corbetta of Surarloaf ( a fellow Coloradan) and Mike Pinera of Blues Image ( both after market parts in big name groups) along with Pete Rivera of Rare Earth put together The Classic Rock Allstars and had a good 10 year run so it can be done. It couldn't hurt the groups resume to include The Kingston Trio, The Brothers Four and The Hudson Brothers ( just kidding) .
I say go for it ( just don't finance it).
