Tomm - as far as a "contract" or agreement for storage, I would want to have the model and serial number recorded and have a basic statement that the guitar is yours and is being temporarily stored by me. I would also want a statement as to who could claim it in the event of your untimely demise.
Josh, I should probably formalize my storage of your instruments as well, although Meri is well aware of what's yours. And when you plan your next trip to Colorado leave space for your Deering banjo to go home with you. I wish I could fall in love with it, but it just isn't my type. That thing has a fat neck - I'd like to shave about 3/16" off of it for my comfort. And I think I've outgrown my desire for a long-neck too. I like the tone of it, but it's just not comfortable to play.
Now that tiple, on the other hand - I'll keep that as long as you let me. I love playing on that. And the Silvertone archtop is cool, although I wish the neck was straighter. Also wish it had a pick-up, but it's fun to play. I keep in in my teaching studio.
What else do I have of yours? Oh, the electric 12-string, which is kinda cool too, but not something I could take on a gig probably. It's like a one-song ax. I want to use it for recording sometime. It certainly has a unique sound - doesn't stay in tune though.
Josh, you're right about me being busy. Holy Moley - today I worked straight thru from 7:30 AM until 8:00 PM, when I finally forced myself to sit down and watch "24". Mondays are killer for me. I have 7 guitar students all on Monday. Tomorrow I'm jammed up all day too with HOA stuff. I'll give you a call later in the week.
G'night, all...
