Speaking of Borders, I purchased my very own US Border Patrol hat yesterday and I've been wearing it proudly. I'm waiting for somebody to shoot at me. This relates to the story about the 7-ll employee in Basalt, Colo. who was fired because a couple of Hispanics (probably illegals) had seen him wear this hat in his off-time. They confronted him at 7-ll store about it (where he never wore the hat, by the way) and returned later to fire five gun shots through the store window. The employee in question had gone home by then, but another employee and several customers in the store narrowly missed being shot. 7-ll fired the employee who wore the hat (in his off time) for being confrontational with customers. In the meantime, they have done nothing to assist in the capture of these two individuals, for fear of alienating their predominantly (illegal) Hispanic customer base. Where does this insanity end?!!! I'm wearing my Border Patrol hat with pride, just as I wore my New York Fire Department hat with pride a few years ago. Why should anyone be criticized, let alone fired, for expressing support for the fine men and women who defend us and keep us safe from danger? 7-ll should be ashamed for taking such an un-American stance. I am personally boycotting their stores and I encourage anyone who agrees with me to do the same. Scoundrels!
