By the way, I'm happy to send your local radio guy a copy free of charge if you can supply me with his station's address. This is a hot topic on conservative talk radio and there are a few people, like Terry Anderson in LA (who's played the tune and lives on the front lines of what he calls "a foreign invasion") who are hoppin' mad about the lack of control of our borders. Coincidentally, I just heard from a friend of ours who moved from Denver to Texas. She told me of a recent capture in their area of a group of Middle Eastern persons who had attempted to cross the border with fake Mexican I.D.'s. So, aside from how anybody wants to think of the humanitarian aspect of this, there is a very serious national security issue that could pose a real threat. I haven't continued my response to Ingrid's post because (1) I've been really busy with shows and keeping up with filling orders for my song and (2) I kinda feel like I'm shouting into the wind with some people. They seem to prejudge my position based on their position. I'm not anti-immigration. I'm anti-ILLEGAL immigration. That's the point I always emphasize and that's what seems to be ignored by some folks. The other thing I try to point out is that all my immigrant friends (all of whom came here legally, some have attained U.S. citizenship) are very much opposed to open borders and amnesty. They went to a lot of trouble to go through legal channels and follow our laws. They feel it's a slap in the face to them that our government now wants to just give all that away to people who broke our laws to come here. So there, I've said it again. (Sounds like a song.) Speaking of songs - watch for a new one coming soon: "Pizza For Pesos." Story at 11:00.
