Nora wasn't sure she had heard correctly. "You want me to come with you?
Bo closed the door behind him and nodded. "I just have a feeling that there is more to this than we think. The guy you identified - Paul Ramirez - isn't just your everyday mugger. He's been into things much worse than this. Mugging is just not his MO."
Nora pulled the blanket closer around herself. "It wasn't just a mugging?"
Bo shook his head. "I don't think so. Will you please come with me?"
Nora's heart pounded in her chest. He was worried about her. He still cared. But she stopped herself. "Bo…I'm not sure I can just up and leave. What about work?"
Bo took a step closer to her. "It's only for the weekend. Just give me and my guys a little time to check into Ramirez to make sure something else isn't going on here. Please?"
Nora slowly nodded. "Okay. Let me go pack a bag."
"I'll put the fire out and make sure the place is locked up." Bo watched her walk up the stairs. The same stairs that they walked up together so many times. Bo shook his head. "Don't go there Buchanan. As much as you may want to…." Bo walked around to check all of the windows and doors. He knocked down the fire, confident that it would burn itself out before they left. Bo turned when he heard Nora coming down the stairs. He walked up and grabbed the humongous suitcase from her. "You shouldn't be carrying that down the stairs."
"Bo…really I'm fine. The baby is fine. I can carry a suitcase."
"You do know we're only going to be away for two days right?"
Nora rolled her eyes. "I know. I wasn't sure what I would want to wear. And besides, the small suitcase we have was too small. This isn't full at all."
Bo chuckled. "Whatever you say Red."
Nora looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "He called me Red." She decided not to make a big deal of it.
But it flustered Bo. "Stop it, stop it, stop it. "You ready to go?" Nora nodded. Bo helped her on with her coat. Bo locked the front door and helped Nora into the Jeep.
"It's snowing pretty hard. Is it safe to drive?"
Bo nodded. "Not a problem. We have 4-wheel drive. And it shouldn't take us more than an hour." Bo pulled out of the driveway and headed for Route 308.
"So where are we headed?"
"You know Tony Manzini right?
"With the fire department? Sure."
" Route 308 is a motorcycle great ride. [A/N I actually looked that up. LOL] And Tony has a cabin along the route. We've stayed at during a couple of trips."
"Cabin? As in outhouse?"
Bo laughed out loud. "A cabin is what Tony calls it. It's really a very nice house. Four bedrooms, three baths, nice TV room. Even a pool in the summer. His family has owned t for years. There might be bears in the woods though."
Nora slapped his shoulder. "Stop making fun of me. It was only that one time that I thought I heard a bear when we were at Asa's cabin."
"Just the once? I remember quite a few times when I would have to protect you."
"That's only because you would never let me live it down. Any little noise you'd be all 'Oh Nora…is that another bear?' You even got your father and brother into the act."
"I still remember the time Clint and Kevin made 'bear tracks' all over the deck. I couldn't get you to leave the cabin."
Both of them got quiet. Lost in their thoughts of how they occupied their time when they were "stuck in the cabin." Breakfast in bed. Watching old movies. Making love for hours on end. Just being together. Eventually Bo glanced over at Nora and noticed she was dozing. I loved those times together Red.
About an hour later they pulled into the driveway of the cabin. "Oh Bo…this is gorgeous. I'm glad Tony said you could borrow it."
"Just wait till you see the inside. Bo led her in and turned on some lights.
The first thing Nora saw was a huge fireplace surrounded by windows that looked out into the woods. Nora wandered around while Bo got a fire going in the fireplace. She sat down in a wonderfully cushy couch as the flames grew. "I might never leave."
Bo sat down next to her and watched the flames. She turned to him. "So what now??"
To be continued….. (By someone...or by me. Let me know if you want to take the next part)

I LOVE IT!
But I have to know...is there really a Route 308 in Pennsylvania??? I made that up! haha
And...did I miss all that good stuff you described about Nora fearing a bear at Asa's cabin? I don't remember that. but I love it.
I don't know about the others, but I want you to take the next part! (I'll jump in again at some point, and maybe a few others will help us.)
It needs a new title though. What Happens Next was just an invite to get people to write. Maybe we can name it when we're done.
Yes ...there is a route 308 in PA. LOL. I figured you had looked it up so I didn't want to blow it.
No..there was no bear stuff with them. Just my FF mind making stuff up.
I can take the next part. I know exactly where I want to go with the story. I just needed the push to get me started. I may not want to give it away again. ROFL

Well, take it and run with it! I have no idea where I would go with it next. I was just hoping to get it started. I'll be happy to be a reader for a change. Can't wait to see where you're going! (I hope the bears come back. hee )
You're a much better person than me Hanis. I didn't even go close to that video clip.

This is great and Mary Ann is back writing again, that is even better. I wish I could write like all of you but I tried that once, started a story and never finished it. And also I don't have enough free time to write anything. Looking forward to more of the story.

This is great, Mary Ann! I can't wait for more. I really miss them. This helps. I thought it would be easier watching these old clips from that time, knowing Bo and Nora did get back together, but it isn't. It just makes me sad and mad all those years were wasted.
