Here is a continuation of my older story, Slip of the Heart. Go read it again, then come back and read this one.
Round Two - Introduction
Nora turned and looked at Bo, who was watching the ending credits of Pat and Mike, their movie pick for the evening and a great Hepburn Tracy film.
Both were piled up on the large sofa in the media room at the mansion, having decided a night in was a better choice than a night of dancing, especially after their heart to heart conversation about giving a relationship another try.
Bo turned and looked at her, and mimicked her position of head leaning against the back of the sofa. “What are you thinking, Red? It looks serious.”
“Do you really want to do this, be together again?”
“Yes, more than anything. Are you having second thoughts?”
Nora sat up a little, in surprise. “No, no, of course not. Sorry, I was just thinking that it might really be better if we eased into it.”
“Okay, what does ease into it mean?”
“Like date,” she said, and then sat back to gauge his reaction. “I mean I don’t want to continue where we left off.”
“No sleeping together, you mean.”
“Yes, but no. I mean emotionally. We have both changed, even though we do know each other pretty well. And having a first date and getting excited for the next time we get to be together is part of that process.”
“Red, it’s a great idea.”
“Really, I thought you’d hate it.”
“As long as I get to kiss you,” he leaned forward to do just that, “and spend time with you, I’m happy.”
“Great,” she said, relieved that he was in agreement. “Just one other thought, can we keep this from Matthew and our friends and family, at least for now?”
“We can try, but we’re both radiating happiness. so we’ll see how long that lasts.”
I was SOOOO EXCITED to find you had started another story!!! I went back and read Slip of the Heart...excellent, by the way. Loved it! Loved the dialogue between Bo and Matthew, loved the romantic side of Bo showing itself toward Nora again, loved that she's making him take it slow (serves him right ) Looking forward to where you take this!
