As I was showering today, I was thinking about the characters in my recent story, and I just want to tie up a few loose ends.
You know how sometimes at the end of movies they tell what happened to the characters...well, here we go:
Lena and Mick: Never married. Although Lena was crazy about Mick, Mick came home with one of those British brides I told you about. However, Lena didn't mourn long before she found a new man...that's just the kind of gal she was.
Mr. Berkovich: Became a local hero after helping nab Franklin Dubronsky. Got acquainted with the new tenant who rented Bo and Nora's apartment, an elderly woman named Ida Montgomery. Ida was a widow with many children and grandchildren. Eventually, she and Reuven married and her family became his own.
Rita and Vinnie: Ahhh...this is a relationship I would have liked to pursue. Vinnie was patient with Rita, and eventually they married. They were blessed with five bambinos, three boys and two girls (one of the daughters was named 'Nora'). Vinnie's Chicago-style pizza was a huge success, and Salvadore's continued to prosper opening another restaurant across town.
Bo Buchanan: Bo continued on at BE and at the ranch. Eventually, he moved his family to Llanview, PA to work in the BE office there. Later he went into law enforcement.
Nora Hanen Buchanan: Nora had another child, a son, three years after the birth of Lilli. After they moved to Pennsylvania, Nora went to law school and became one of Llanview's most prominent attorneys (much to her father-in-laws chagrin).
Lilli: Lillian Buchanan grew up and followed in her mother's footsteps. She set up her law practice in Boston. She eventually married, but did not have children. Rather, she and her husband became world travelers and had homes on three continents.
Last, but not least, Lenny and Selma Hanen: Lenny made good on his word. His pilot light indeed had NOT burned out. Their empty nest years put a smile on Lenny's face and a new light in Selma's eyes! The power of love!
There...now I feel much better. I hate loose ends.
