This evening I had my first meeting with my new client and her kitty.

The visit was a success! We sat in her living room chatting for maybe an hour, drinking wine, waiting for kitty to come out from his hidey hole. When he did, I reached out and he began checking me out, then gave me kissies and head boinks. He's a bit like Callie in that way, not very demonstrative but still friendly. I fed him some treats, then gave him his dinner, and the true test was when he licked the cream cheese containing his meds from my finger, and finished all of it. I still need to familiarize myself with the layout of her building and apartment, but I know already where the building is, and finding the door and the elevators is easy. The only problem is that the building doesn't have Braille/raised numbers on the elevator doors, but I can read the number on her door and there's a little plaque with the floor number somewhere in the hallway. She's going to write to building management about that, but if they don't come through in the near future, I can get around that. I won't be needed until November, so there's still plenty of time to work on learning my way around and where things are, but it does seem like her kitty cat has accepted me, and that is the main thing.|
