We have been spending time with our crap dogs that have NO control cuz we didn't get the Tony McCallum dvd, and therefore WILL NOT protect us cuz we only choose to train for sport, and argue about sport training methods on this forum LOL!|

I lol at how the multitude of people will cite Michael Ellis video's,refer to Bart Beilon techniques, suggest Paul C. seminars etc....or quote directly a training tip from whomever they consider their "mentor" or someone who has knowledge about DOGS |
And THAT is accepted and never seems to be a problem for anyone, and no one minds these "advertisements"??
(and do you,at least, get a cut of the money you earned them--for your hard work on their behalf?)
And as far as I've seen(and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).....the only person who publicly suggests/suggested a dog owner should actually watch/purchase Mr.McCallums dvd......is Hogbender. So based on bigironmike's latest post.........one man,on one Forum, has caused y'all to flock together and run and hide?
Watch Them Both

I bought the Tony McCallum video. I like it. People should watch it. I've also seen some Michael Ellis clips and went to one of his seminars and seen him work dogs a few times. He's The Man in his field, it's hard to denounce that. Same for Bart Bellon from what I've heard, and some pretty accomplished people speak volumes of Ivan Balabanov. |
I'm on the fence. I find value in all those guys. Whether I see eye-to-eye with them, well, who cares?!!!!! I'm not really accomplished, and I do not work my dogs all day in the field. Still, I can find value in what they do and their rationale for doing it the way they have done it. Not to mention how they all seem to have helped people who have used their products. I see no reason to bash any of them.
I will go out on a limb and say most if not all of us could probably learn something from any of the above, or anybody who has spent a lot of time getting positive results out of dogs. If it works for you, or you can get something from somebody's videos/experience/observations/etc., that seems to be just about all that matters.
