I have seen a video where he softly asked that intact male dog of his, to leave a Gyp in full blown heat. He asked once, and got instant compliance.
CONTROL is asking a dog to totally go against his nature, and getting instant compliance. If he can call him off a Gyp in heat, he can call him off an innocent, that happened to break one of the dog's rules.
With a dog like this, you will get ten thousand opportunities to turn him OFF, because someone inadvertently breaks one of the rules you taught him. His rules are very simple, and his reaction is always the same ... PROTECT. CONTROL is how E keeps the innocents safe, from his dog. If E says nothing, then that is implied that the dog's aggression is justified, and he knows what to do.
A PROTECTION dog's default attitude is always ON.(you have to sleep) It is up to E, if he gets turned OFF, or left alone to do his job.
E has sport dogs too, and he enjoys doing that stuff. He understands the major differences between them, and his little man eater.
E understands that my ONLY problem with sport, is that it claims to be protection. Confusing the unsuspecting public into purchasing their snake oil.
If there is ANY WAY possible, for someone to steal your dog, he ain't a PROTECTION dog. Hot dogs, balls, tugs, toys, ... the bad guys know this crap. If he will not even PROTECT HIMSELF from a would be thief, what good is he protecting your children?
A dog that bites on command, is no more a PROTECTION dog, than a Boxer is a Combat Veteran.(Are we beginning to see why I posted this thread now?)
What does he do when you sleep? Is he roaming the house, ready for intruders? Is he locked away, because of his destructive chewing that you created by playing around with drive training?
