generally speaking..where there is smoke there is fire..
usually when AC 'targets' someone..it's because they have been given previous reasons..operating without a license...shortcuts taken all around..neighbors complaining due to excessive barking..foul odors etc..
when you run a training/boarding business..you do not take shortcuts in any way...proper sanitation is a must..you cannot sanitize 'dirt' so proper flooring is a must etc..liability insurance etc.
as a 'professional'..one cannot make decisions with others animals that they have been paid and entrusted with as they would their own dogs. ie: a cut/abrasion/laceration etc needs to have veterinary attention whether you think so or not..it's NOT YOUR DOG..it's someone elses..
this whole ordeal with cory stinks..he never made the owner aware of the fact that the male GSD went missing until some time had passed..that alone raises a red flag..looking at the shithole that was shown on the news..yes..i can believe there was filth and lack of proper care..places don't look like shitholes over nite..that mess has taken time to get that way..water is essential to all animals outside in winter..no excuses..
and again...having lived in OH briefly..i had a neighbor who tied out their yappy chihuahua every morning and left it out to bark all freaking day in the hot summer sun..no shelter etc...and guess what? AC did nothing..so..once again...for there to be charges levied against him etc...there must be a pretty serious problem...OH has notoriously lax humane laws....
anyone care to try to excuse the 'remains' found on the property too? like i said..where there is smoke there is usually fire...
i've run training and boarding kennels..i've run training and boarding stables..you have to up your game and be a professional when you start accepting money to care for and train others animals...you have to hold yourself to a much higher standard..you do not treat others animals like you would 'your own'..
do i run my own dogs to the vet for every little thing? no...do i advise my grooming clients what i would do if it were my dog with an ear/eye infection etc? yes..but..i always remind them..i am a groomer..not a vet...i always suggest they seek a professionals opinion.
