I hear this gargage. YES, garbage all the time. OH, he is brutal. OH, he ruins dogs. Yes, if it is a weak dog. Hell, someone should have thanked him so they dont waste years training a weak dog. By the way, you show up to work week, you are no rookie. You want to compete at a high level.
Now, I don't even know what really you are talking about. Because Lance does not use compulsion. He corrects and secures, but never use compulsion.
If your ideas are right, why do his/club dogs look so happy in the work? makes no sense. That is in retrieves as well!
As a biologist, I truly appreciate his animal behavioral theory explanation of each moment of each exercise and why each dog behaves in such a fashion.
Now, is he a helper that creates A TON of conflict in a dog? Yes he is. This is his gift. Many dogs cannot deal with this. Weak dogs. So, that is why we buy good dogs. Simple.
By the way, I dont care what Lance did or did not do in his past. I only care about the quality of work done NOW. And I don't care what Lance says. I only care about what he does. In the end, that is the ONLY measure of a training director.
What is your name anyways. I will ask what dog he ruined. I mean, if someone said that about me, i would have the common courtesy to share at least that. he would probably invite you to work week to show how things have changed ........or remained the same.
