This disappointment turned into hatred towards Donovan & over time I was very sorry about that. My husband sided with me, of course. But, we've often talked about Donovan & all our experiences & how right he was about all the training.
Where ever we went with Donovan, people were always asking about the DP & training. Like I said, the reason I was so furious was that he wouldn't listen to me & he didn't really see how good Foxx was.
Looking back on it--it was only a trial. I thought it was the end of the world--but guess what, it wasn't. We're still in Schutzhund & after all, it was only a trial. As far as the DP goes--they are the best--the pack drive & desire to please & ability to forgive mistakes is incomparable. You couldn't ask for a better dog.
I have thought of apologizing to Donovan but thought there was too much water under the bridge so I kind of got in a few threads talking about our DPs to help him out.
Don't get me wrong--he's a character....but he's also a genius in his own way. He's loud & opiniated but never boring--when you meet Donovan something is always happening.
