Man, I take 1 trip to the UK and things blow up. What’s funny is I had my picks done but forgot to post them. Last week I had 5 right and 1 wrong. I took East Austin over Hutto. I still haven’t seen any rankings, so I am still using my ranking system. Well, I am back and here are my picks:

#3 Hutto over #6 North Austin Blue –– OFFICIAL SENIOR GAME OF THE WEEK – Hutto’s only blemish is a loss to Leander and North Austin Blue drop to Leander and East Austin. This should be a good game. A Hutto win should all but confirm them to be in the Final 4 and a North Austin Blue win should keep them in the conversation of a Final 4 Spot. I’ll take Hutto by 3 points.

#1 Bastrop over #13 Jarrell – Bastrop basically gets a warmup before hosting East Austin in week 8. Anything less than a Mercy Rule should be a disappointment.

#2 Leander over #11 Round Rock Yellow – Leander is in the same situation as Bastrop. They get to basically have a warmup game before traveling to Kyle. I don’t expect a Mercy Rule but at least a running clock. I’ll take Leander by 24.

#4 Kyle over #7 North Austin Green – This is an interesting match up on paper. I see this as a potential trap game for Kyle. North Austin Green can score points and has out score Kyle this season in total points. Would I be surprised to see Kyle slip here? No, I wouldn’t but I do have faith in the Invaders to get the job done. My formula I use for point spread has Kyle a 35 point favorite. I see it being a lot closer than expected but I still take Kyle for the win.

#5 East Austin over #12 Del Valle – East Austin basically gets a warmup before traveling to Bastrop in week 8. Anything less than a Mercy Rule should be a disappointment.

#9 Elgin over #10 Georgetown – 2 teams that are struggling to figure out how to play football. I don’t have much excitement for this game and will take Elgin by 18

#8 Unity over BYE – Unity gets to sit back and work on their Youth Football Fantasy Football.
