Tribute to WWII NAG Charles A. Lloyd

On behalf of American Merchant Marine Veterans organization, we wish to pay tribute to WWII Navy Armed Guard Veteran, C.A. Lloyd for his service and dedication honoring the Greatest Generation of shipmates.
His dedication to all the NAG and USMM veterans was highly regarded.

Sad news hearing of CA passing. He was the expert bar none on Navy Armed Guard. A great loss

Cap'n, thank you for posting this. I wondered if Mr. Lloyd was still sailing with us, knowing that his name was still on the website but also knowing that the years were going by at full speed. He actually took the time to speak with me by phone years ago, completely untroubled by this doofus calling him out of the blue. Absolutely superb guy whose dedication to the Armed Guard's legacy will live on.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Charles. He always
sent me a copy of the Pointer to my home here in England.
A fine gentleman.
