I am a board member of the Ohio Veterans Memorial Park in Clinton, Ohio. We are trying to acquire a flag for the Navy Armed Guard. If anyone has any information on how or where we can get one that would be great. Please email me at ssd3789@gmail.com. Thank you so much.
There is a U.S. Navy Armed Guard and Merchant Marine Museum in Vero Beach, FL. They may have information on how to obtain a Navy Armed Guard flag. The museum has a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/USNavyArmedGuardandMerchantMarine with contact information. You might also telephone Capt. Richard Martucci, who is affiliated with the museum and with whom I am acquainted, at 772-559-1946. Tell him I sent you. As far as I know the museum does not have a website.
I trust the Ohio Veterans Memorial Park includes a U.S. Merchant Marine flag, which is somewhat easier to obtain. The Armed Guard and the Merchant Marine were literally in the same boat during the war and the Merchant Marine deserves the same recognition as the Armed Guard and the rest of the military.
Best wishes.

HELLO, Google Merchant Marine flags for sale. Numerous vendors appear in the search, including Amazon. You could also ask on the Merchant Marine FaceBook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MerchantMarinesWWII
Regarding the Navy Armed flag. Looks like this one would need to be custom ordered. Again google "custom flag" and numerous vendors appear. I know for a fact that the AG vets on the SS John W. Brown had several AG flags made. I do not recall where they bought them. I also not 100% sure what the design was. I will look the next time I am onboard the ship. I last saw the flag in the flag locker. Look for my Navy Armed Guard group on FB. https://www.facebook.com/groups/715188522376466
