Hello All, On May 24th I celebrated my 60th birthday by taking a 30 minute flight aboard a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and it was quite an experience. My Dad (George), who passed away in 1996 was an AG in WWII and I knew this is something he would have loved to do. Since I couldn't take him in person I wore his old WWII USN deck jacket that he liked to wear for good luck when we went fishing.
best regards, Jim Nelson

Awesome Jim, I too am a WWII AG son.
In 2010 I had the chance to tour the SS John Brown by myself. In 2005 I also had the chance to tour the SS Lane Victory by myself.
Dad served on both Liberty and Victory ships as an Armed Guard during WWII. Although by myself I did not feel like I walked alone. I highly recomend this as the next trip in your Dad's jacket.
