No Traffic

The sick bay must be full. I don't see a lot of sailors reporting for duty muster on this site.

Speaking of Sick Bay. Did any of you have a serious illness or injury while serving in the Armed Guard.
I know my Dad had his appendix burst. He was rushed to St Alban's hospital in Queens NY for emergency surgery and recovery.

When I was in training at Gulfport Miss, I came down with Rheumatic Fever, was in the sick bay there 4 months and in the Naval hospital in Pensecola for a month. Returned to Gulfport and finished my training. The Dr. in Pensecola wanted me to take a medical discharge but I said no. I'm 87 now so I am one lucky salt. Gerry Burr
