Checking In

A new month is here and, as I warned, I'm reporting in. I can't say "all is well," as watch-standers once did, but I'm still here, and that's not small beer. My health is no better and no worse. For that I'm grateful.

Dear old Salts, so good to hear from you all once in awhile. I and my wife are planning a winter trip to Gulf Shores, Al. will be leaving right after Christmas. Will miss all the Armed Guard news, I don't have acess down there to a Computer. Have a great Veteran's day and a wonderful Christmas season. Gerry Burr

Flags reporting for duty, Sirs.
Fall is coming in for sure here in Richmond, Indiana.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy day and much cooler. Maybe about 51 for high.
My wife and I VOTED today... our "duty" as citizens.Our county (Wayne County) started a vote early program a few years ago, and it seems to be working out pretty darned well so far.
I was dubious at first, but I am now satisfied that it something each voting area should at least consider.
Of course, since I am such an old goat, I would rather go back to PAPER ballots!
