I know there are not many men left of the WWII Armed guard. But I want to let them know of the passing of our father Edward J.Jones Jr. Dad passed May 29 2023 (Memorial Day} and was buried June 6th 2023 (D-Day).

He served on the James Russel Lowell which was torpedoed off No.Africa and Lst 491 and Lst 264 which was involved with the Normandy landings. He and all will be missed , Ed Jones III
