in ww2. It was a very small ship weighing in at
only 15,000 tons.
I wonder what today's giant carriers which are very
expensive to build and more expensive to maintain
will be used for. Not for a war, as all major countries
now have homing torpedoes fitted with a small nuclear
head. These little beauties can be fired from a distance
of twenty or more miles away.
But you must have a navy or how would young
men get to see the sea and wear those lovely sailor suits?
So these large ships are for show only, or for bossing
over smaller countries?
