I am looking for information on the SS Christopher Gale between October 1944 and June 1945. These were the dates when my grandfather S1c (SM) Benedict A. RODDY served as an armed guard on this ship. I found some information on Fold3.com that the ship sailed from Enewetak Atoll to Iwo Jima in March 1945 and was still at Iwo Jima through mid April.

Any information would be appreciated.
