Actually, he is not my grandfather but my daddy. I was on the fogg the day it set sail. He had retired from the coast gaurd many years before signing on as an ordinary able body seaman through the the union and his body might be buried where five fogg men were recovered, but the just decided several years ago to not allow up to exhume the buried bodies. Other fogg men are awaiting their loved ones DNA .the families from the fogg need to get ahold of Mark , sheriffs office in he county brazzorio for DNA draws to determine if the match the others. I have all my dads work papers, I thought. It states he was in e army? I have his navy photo from ww two and the family that remembered him joking the navy, yet the government refuse to admit. His metals I've been told were from e SS peligia which went down with few survivors and him and another men saved who they could but the official redacted report does not mention anything. I know the real story but have no proof. My dad did not collect his metals, I did. He said the men would have done the same for him.i need families notified from the fogg, from all over the states and other countries. I just found one, spit he police now have her DNA too. We need them to donate DNA to take home those bodies found, my dad is either in that ou try paupers grave or elsewhere. Is there any direction I can go for support or help? Thanks. P,us my dad never sailed on four lakes before those last years till it was bought out and became the fogg, thanks.
