SS Horace Binney

Am new to this so bear with me. My name is Linda Guerin, My father served as signalman on the SS Horace Binney. He was aboard ship when it was sunk.He was awarded a letter of accommodation for going below decks as the ship was sinking to get medical supplies for his crew members. He will be 89 this year. Are there any others that served with him on the ship still around. The reports I have found online say the ship was mined but his letter of accommodation says it was torpedo. He also has a picture of the ship as it was sinking. His name is Marion Seymour Gilbert.
